Anti-necro posting thread

Since the last topic got locked because the moderators massively mistaken it for being a question posed I sadly have to restart it:

**
To the moderators: No questions were asked. We know what necro-posting is about.
Thank you for the clarifications: I put it here for anyone unknowledgeable.

Threads that are over a month old without any additional posts are necro. Posting to those threads is considered necroposting. The information in older posts can be out of date, misleading, or simply wrong. So it’s better to start a new thread instead.

Certain sections are immune to necroposting: News and Game Mods.

This is something else:

So what’s this?
An experimentation maybe.

Let’s see for how long this thread will survive.

What’s this thread about, really?

Necro-posting.

What’s the endgame here?

Make the topic survive as long as possible before a moderator deems it as obsolete and call someone out for necro-posting

"What is necro-posting?
An act of posting in a thread that has no active biological functions
Moderetor will usually shut down such threads.

What should we talk about?

No restrictions really, unless the moderators disagree. I strongly recommend we talk about Enlisted.
And to be more specific: necroposting on the forum related to the WWII game, Enlisted

When does the challenge start?

It’s live now

I personally don’t care i just sit down there and wait for the drama and disscusion : )

Hate to burst your bubble, but the forum rules are quite clear. I personally disagree, but that doesn’t change what they are. Thread will not last long as there is nothing to discuss, this is a nothing sandwich of a post

I believe OP can simply PM moderators and ask for unlocking his topic which was locked for necroposting.

I have nothing against locking necroposts, in most of the cases it’s justified. It’s annoying when someone tries to join a discussion of 300 separate posts after several months since last post was made. Considering that the person often has read only the last 3 posts at best. It’s far better to just start the discussion all over again in a separate topic. Because otherwise it can completely distort the context of the original debate.
