(Who doesn’t know), Commandos: Origins has released a new demo. (I suggest you try it, it will be a cool game) And they solved this “problem” very logically, humanely, and very simply (like many other games), with a simple check mark.
When will we have it Enlisted? It should be the freedom of choice of each player how he wants to treat history in games

Probably that option is not available for online mode, as another games whit the simbol on campaing mode and whitout it in online, like vanguard
I agree. But on one condition. If you use this simple check mark., then your set of weapons, aircraft and tanks, as well as their number, will be limited by historical framework.
For example:
in Berlin, you will not have planes, at least 1 tank per battle. And you will play with regular rifles. Regardless of the results of the battle, you personally will be considered defeated.
In exchange for this, you will finally be able to watch your favorite windmills and shurikens.
cosmetic -/- how gameplay works
That makes no sense. Cosmetics should be as ha as possible because they dont affect gameplay balance. Equipment is different
From the remastered series it will be “Commandos 3: HD remaster” (2022), and from the original series “Commandos: Strike force” (2006). But the latter did not go well. Anyway, the very first part is cult.

The game has very big shoes to fill. Those games are cult classics.
in that case, there is no point in turning to historical symbolism.
Thats the absolutely best part of the suggestion, you can make the choice yourself to either have them or not.
Could be worse, could just be the censored symbols and flags they added from the chinese version of war thunder
