Would love to give the original load out to the paramarines squad of Johnson rifles and the US Premium squad get their original load out of M1 Garland’s, M1A1 carbines and Thompsons without a drum mag.
Also would love to arm some German paratroopers with earlier load outs like Kar98’s.
British para’s with Enfields and other more original weapons would be nice too. Don’t remember seeing Weldon’s or Aircraft MG’s wielded by British paratroopers in Market Garden… Sten’s, Bren’s and Enfields!
Only obstacle I see for the dev’s is assign new crate weapons for lower tier battles for some of the squads. Not too much work I suppose since they already have a system for that with other squads.
yeah I can see the problem from the perspective of “we don’t want these wepaons to be used outside of these specialty squads” though. (for both premium and event weapons).
Imagine if you could use the Vickers G.O. outside of the narrow context of a special paratroop squad.
I still have 4 additional premium Beretta 1918’s in inventory from Delisted:Refunded debacle, when they got bugged - can’t give them to anyone, and my premium Assaulters still have their guns equipped.
I’d be fine with that particular one not then but the following weapons are not something special imo:
Thompson with drum
Kriegshoff fg
M1a1 carbinde
BSA welgun
Ok thats a good point. I’d say both the American ones are copy paste enough for it to be treated like the new ones.
M1A1 carbine is pretty much the same as the M1 carbine and the Drum Thompson has a TT version if i’m not mistaken.
Tbh for me it’s not really a problem, aside maybe from that vickers MG, if regular squads can use those but going back to your first comment there might indeed be some spaghetti code behind those weapons that make it a nuisance for them to fix.
If we don’t get this then I sincerely hope for atleast an American, a British and a German para squad in some shape or form that allows custom primaries.

Would love to see atleast the paramarines get custom weapons. Also so I can give M1A1 carbines to existing airborne squads like the 82nd or 101st. They don’t offer a gameplay advantage I think.
Also think then that hoping for new US/UK/Ger para squads with interchangeable weapons is more likely than the old ones getting it. Which I guess is still fine for me.
