So after like 10 defeats as axis straight in this map i have question- what is the purpose of this GARBAGE map for axis player? Cuz when i go as allies its easy: quick cap time, and just hordes of reinforcements even without balloons, but as axis i just leave. So any ideas?
yeah those damn balloons are bad game play. One fighter got their team easily like 200 spawn points just running around shooting them uncontested or you got a troll in your team shooting them down to help the enemy team
Nope, it’s a extreme sided map.
Either Allies steamroll Axis, or Allies get crushed at 1st point.
It has 16.7 spawncost, highest among all maps. +333 per point, also very high.
Also 1st point is pretty hard at first.
yeah the 300 per point is also pretty steep for sure. Can understand this on the beach maps but this one idk since its pretty hectic for both sides.
The first point can pretty much be rushed pretty fast but sure since the whole german team spawns in it it depends on the skill sets ofc and can understand the struggle since half the US is spawning on the other side
Can’t remember when was the last time that I lost this map as axis tbh.
must been the old days. Ive lost it 5 times today but on the other hand we have also won couple of them to. Its like said depending on the teams and who got the strongest and best tank drivers at hand.
Because most games US just piledrive the Germans if they have one good Jumbo driver at hand but if there is good German players around those tanks wont matter as much
Played couple of days ago as axis so no, not the old days. Allies team had even 3x players above 100 kills, max level players still wasn’t enough to defeat us. They captured 1st point with ~100 tickets. Game was over at 2nd one. All about skills.
This map is indeed weird. I don’t play it that seriously, but tanking is funny here, unless there’s jumbo shitters or panthers.
Balloon mechanic is bizzare and reinforcements are messed up… However I don’t think one particular side has it that much easier
75% of matches in the Normandy can be described by this sentence.
And more than a few matches in the other campaigns.
Am I the only one that feels like the balloon reinforcement mechanic was put into this map for testing? Did they (Darkflow) ever say what else they might use it for? I feel like it could have a place on D-Day…there are a lot less barrage balloons on that map…Ver Sur Mer as well.
It might very well be… it IS beta afterall so I don’t mind too much about strange stuff. They often use campaigns as testing grounds:
Tunisia:
- testing field of digging mechanics
- testing field of smoke arty. (Was amazing idea, got implemented everywhere)
- testing field of mechanized infantry (right now we only have bikes but bigger better goodies are coming I’m sure)
- testing field of newer destruction mode, with radios as targets. (I’m personally waiting for this in Normandy, where heroic allies paras will need to silence 88 batteries)
Berlin:
- Testing field of “train mode”, I don’t know the proper name for it.
Normandy:
- like mentioned, reinforcements bonuses mechanics?
Moscow:
- for now seems like the only place with weather effects.
2nd to last one too that bunker is hard to take
I’ve had 2 games as allies in the last day - 1 we never got hte 1st point, the other we steamrolled with 5-600 left.
2 successive games, the loss then the win.
There’s very little consistency in Enlisted
Airfield is just a garbage map, especially for attackers. Ballons are placebos and imo they usually do not have a massive influence. If yankees fail to capture the first hangar in less than 5 mins, they are doomed, regardless if they have 1k or 1,5k tickets.
