Aircraft players can safely redeploy as other types of tanks or infantry squads by returning to a special area off the map.
If the aircraft returns safely and redeploys other squads without any additional CD time, the same aircraft can be deployed again after two deployments. In this case, this refund 1 respawn point in Conquest mode. In invasion mode or similar, doing so will refund the attacker’s public respawn points. It is equivalent to giving players a chance to repair their aircraft, rather than simply committing suicide.
If the player’s aircraft is shot down due to taking damage, it takes 10 minutes of CD time to deploy the same aircraft again.
If player’s aircraft makes a forced landing, it takes 8 minutes of CD time to deploy the same aircraft again. If the aircraft is seriously damaged in a certain component, the aircraft members parachute, it can be regarded as the aircraft has successfully forced landing.
If the plane crashes by suicide, it takes 20 minutes of CD time to deploy the same plane again.
Without further ado, such a mechanism can bring obvious benefits.
I don’t know about delaying the use of the plane, but I am strongly in favor of a way to “return to base” and respawn instead of having to suicide or parachute out when you want to stop flying.
I’d agree if you changed that to:
destroyed - deployment of 4 infantry squads required and at least 5 minutes of no respawn.
suicide - Same penalty, but if the plane crashes before or up to 30s after the bombs/rockets explode, the award for the kills is discredited and the pilot gains no points.
The benefits of suicide precision-guided bombs do not come entirely from the benefits of a single explosion.
The player may do this just to kill a tank in the way or to clear the enemy from a control point.
So even after removing the benefits of suicide precision-guided bomb explosions, players still have good reasons to do so in order to gain victory scores.
The only thing that should be done is to disable the player from doing this, not to reduce the buffs that come with doing it.
And I honestly see no problem with this.
If a tank is so annoying that you’re willing to sacrifice a plane just to get rid of said tank, you should be able to.
You just shouldn’t be rewarded for it, which is why most people do this anyway. They just spawn, bomb something for some quick points and go back to infantry. Cuase that is way more efficient than going back to rearm.
I don’t see a problem with suicide bombing as a last ditch weapon of desperation against cancerous greayzoning heavy tanks. I just see problems with it being used as a valid strategy to quickly get a lot of points.
As for clearing objectives, it’s only done cause there’s a lot of free kills to be had. Otherwise, mortars, arty, tanks and flametroopers all clear objectives better.
That’s a good idea, I thought of the same thing a bit differently.
I find it unfortunate for the game to see planes used as kamikazes by some players who don’t even take care to fly, and that’s an abuse.
Also to deserve them and require a minimum of piloting it will be interesting to be able to land and take off there is also a command for that and it will bring more to the gamplay of planes.
This will require a big update, but to start on a plane we can imagine a safe place where a landing / takeoff to load the ammunition would be necessary (which no kamikaze is able to do) as well as to reload them it takes time piloting which will reduce the bombardments, it could also be repairs for damaged planes that we still cannot repair.
there is already a very well made Airfield which could serve as a support for this addition.
