AI Squad needs to support suppressing fire on a target AND cover mechanics, like brothers in arms

I am an old PC gamer and I have played all the F.E.A.R. games.
I loved the exciting aerial kicks combined with SloMo.
Of course I also played Brother in Arms, I loved it on PC and bought the Playstation2 version, I think the PS2 version was difficult to optimize the controller, the controls were terrible.
A relatively similar game to Enlisted that I loved was Operation Flashpoint Coldwar Crisis. I really got into it as a student and spent a summer creating my own custom missions and mods.

I love Enlisted’s style of gameplay with the bot, but I’m amazed at the quality of the game, because these games from 20+ years ago are much better when it comes to bot movement, and I’m sure that Enlisted will be a great addition to the Enlisted family of games.
However, I suspect that the quality of the Enlisted bot is not simply a matter of poor performance, but that there is somehow a glitch that is preventing the bot from performing as the developers expect.
Every time they update the bot, old bugs are resurrected or really trivial bugs are left unattended, which makes me think that they are seriously understaffed and lack the human resources for their own plans, which is why all kinds of bugs are left unattended.
Today, an enemy bot that I saw eye to eye with me was just standing there doing nothing. Obviously, their behavior is not normal.

Yeah I am pretty frustrated by it. Brothers in arms had awesome bots, I know for a fact this COULD be done simply because I have seen it in that game. If they make these bots like brothers in arms, I will likely never play any other ww2 shooters.

I really agree. can set a feature that allows the AI to cover the shooting firepower towards the direction where the player is aiming and shooting.

The Brother in Arms IP died a long time ago, but if Enlisted gives the bot a unique feature and allows tactical bot play like BIA, I think it will gain a niche share in the FPS game scene and become a title that will dominate in the future.
If that happens, not only the multiplayer, but even the PVE mode should be quite fun. It would attract a lot of WW2 game fans.
