Ai premium

I think it’s no surprise to anyone that premium units are prohibitively expensive without offering anything different than a free unit.

That of course includes AI and its behavior.

Now, given the devs’ curiously great fondness for money, it occurred to me that:

Why not improve the AI of premium units? They’ll aim better, take cover, and even be useful when you tell them to stay in a house and protect it.

You could also add that the AI supports you and obeys a firing order, marking a location for them and having them destroy it.

That way, not only would it motivate people to buy units, but it would at least justify that a $25-$50 unit is useful for something…

Because apart from the APCs and perhaps the American paratroopers, the others contribute nothing.

Or make it universal for all A.I instead

It would be great, but seeing the developers’ willingness to do something…

Well if they only make the premium squad A.I better, then everyone is gonna complain because it’ll be unfair and there’s also the chance for players to leave too

No doubt, but that would lead to an improvement to the free AI. If they do the work for the premium units, they’ll have to do the rest.

The other alternative is to flood the forum and all its networks until they ban us all or do something.

Pay to win ai is not something I want to see, but class specific ai would be nice, for example flametroopers should want to use their flamethrower when in range, perhaps paratrooper ai soilders should be more aggressive than standard infantry, also perhaps pilots and tankers shouldn’t be as competent as assulters.

Also this wouldn’t be so odd as during the Halloween event we saw different ai troops have different behaviour.

Well it should get results though, before the most recent update they would’ve released an PPSH-41 with an silencer for the soviets TT, me and some others complained about it and they replaced it with the AVS with 20 rounds.

A great idea in theory but then literally becomes pay2play…this will put off a lot of the player base. If AI did a lot of the work for you, the game wouldn’t be as fun. Developers need to realize their pricing model is off and need to lower squad prices…this should be obvious when they have sales and purchases skyrocket.

Sadly the same thought pattern didn’t apply to paratroopers.

Something I’ve been saying for ages, but everyone just comes back with the “just wait until it’s on sale”. You can’t always rely on them being discounted greatly by a sale.

Plus, preorders cost full price. All other DLCs in other games top out at A$20.00 or so. Enlisted and war thunder should be the same. Ain’t no way I’m paying A$120.00 for a virtual plane.

Well, developing competent AI is either above any of the Dev’s paygrade at Gaijin, or they were basically developed to serve as the enemies cannon fodder.

I don’t care if they develop personal AI bots that can fight, I care that they stay inside a building, bunker or a trench when ordered. I care that they use a window to enter a building when I use a window instead of the dumbasses having to run around the building and use the front door, right where the enemy is . I care that they “CANNOT” keep up with me when traversing the battlefield. They are always 500 meters behind, and the stragglers that do eventually catch up are killed because they choose to stand outside in the open. I care that I am in a fire fight and my retarded bot runs or crawls in front of me blocking my shots, and getting us both killed when the enemy returns fire, or a bot running in front of me the moment I am trying to chuck an explosion pack only to have it bounce off his head right to my feet.

A competent bot is all I ask for.
