Axis forces used the Solothurn 20 mm rifle in WW2. It was known for its high quality and even having a scope. It is loaded with 10-round magazines but generally loaded with eight. It was a self-loading rifle as well.
There are currently no AT self-loading rifles for the Germans, so this would be an excellent addition for low BR. I am looking for Allied (American faction) self-loading AT rifles.
So reportedly this gun was never tested by the American military, but it was tested by the Canadians.
And apparently it passed all the tests in flying colours. This gun has definitely been fired quite a bit.
I believe this is the only example that was made, although they made a couple magazines.
But ultimately before this thing could potentially be adopted, the whole program was cancelled because the war ended, so.
Oh I’d LOVE to have me a semi auto .50 to bully people with. The PTRD/PTRS and Boys ATR can only satisfy me so much. A semi auto .50? By WINCHESTER? Gimme
Right? There’s a lot of things I wish to see added that are far more adequate than Ho Ri or Condors
Plus, I want to make a video that’s just me bullying infantry with an AT Rifle, and that’ll help superbly. Right now I got no ES and only have enough Boys ATR to get the job done. Don’t even have enough PTRD’s as 2/3 Sovie AT Squads got Panzerfaust 60’s. Lol
The Lahti L-39 is a Finnish 20 mm anti-tank rifle used during the Second World War. It had excellent accuracy, penetration and range, but its size made transportation difficult. It was nicknamed “Norsupyssy”(Elephant gun)
