Add " TEAM KING OF THE HILL" to the game

I would actually like to see the developers add a “team king of the hill” mode to the game to add some additional diversity.

Each player’s collective time within the zone would be added to all other team members’ time within the zone to determine the team’s total time in the zone. Whichever team has the most time in the zone wins the game. Here’s the catch with this mode: Kills don’t count (even for XP)! You could have 1 kill or a 1000, it wouldn’t matter. Only collective time in the zone wins the game. And, any time you spend within the zone triples the XP that you normally receive in other game modes. Perhaps this type of game mode would help transition players away from killing and focus more on capping. If you want to earn XP, then you have to cap!

UPDATE: In addition, I failed to mention another change that I had in mind but forgot to post: You not only receive 3x normal XP for capping a point, you also receive XP for staying on that point. For example, for every 5 seconds you stay on the objective you would receive additional XP. How much? Whatever the developers are comfortable providing. They would have to be the ones to balance this out. This would also help to compensate people for receiving less XP for their kills—perhaps 3X less XP than normal, instead of none at all.

I assume this new game mode would be fairly simple for the developers to implement if we simply utilize the maps that are currently being used—especially since only one cap zone is needed per map.

I understand, but the biggest problem with this game is this: The majority of players in this game (for ALL game modes) is they refuse to build rally points or spawn an APC, will not get on the point to cap, do not place ammunition boxes, and fail to properly use AP mines. Too many players play this game like it’s a team deathmatch—all they care about is there k/d.

Removing xp for killing in “team deathmatch” mode would help to train those people who never step foot inside a cap point. If they don’t cap, then no xp.

However, I understand your concern. Since the people who are capping in this game mode are receiving 3x more xp than in other game modes, perhaps receiving 3x less xp for killing in this game mode would be appropriate. You still get xp, but much less. Again, to promote the capping process since the majority of players in this game refuse to cap.

Yes we all know most of this player base is 12 year old CoD transplants and all they know is “shoot shoot shoot!” And don’t even know what the word “objective” even means. That being said, I’m always top of the leaderboard for a reason and I’d like to be rewarded for being on objective and keeping enemy off of objective while I’m on it. AKA, killing the enemy

any new game mode besides another variation of Invasion would be great, four out of the five existing game modes are invasion a little variety would be nice

Then you’re in luck! With the changes I suggested above, you would still be at the top of the leaderboard under the new rules.

I’m not trying to steal your XP or change your position on the leaderboard; just trying to implement something new to help change the monotony of the current game modes, and hopefully change some behaviors regarding capping.

Yes! Gimme rewards for doing good darn it! Stacking bodies may be secondary to objectives when it comes to “winning the game,” but that doesn’t stop me from dropping the enemy in triple digits almost every match. Like come on man I’m putting all this work in and I should be given rewards accordingly

OK, OK… How about this: We can give you a weekend pass when the fighting is over so you can go down range and do a little “stick dipping.” Now that’s the best offer I can give ya. Oh, and a letter of recommendation for your “official” Enlisted file.
