Players deserting games because of “bad” maps or modes will always cause imbalances in the team. If too many players leave, one side will be filled with bots and cause them to have a massive disadvantage. Add “Join Any Game in Progress” to allow players to join games that are more likely exciting.
- Since joining any game in progress might mean you are joining into a losing battle, devs can remove the “losing penalty” for players who join any battles. They can also not count the game as a lost against their stats.
- Players could instantly hop into a match already in progress, spending less time waiting and more time playing the game.

just sucks seing friends having losing games filled with bots and u cant do anything about it so pls would be peak

There is a timeout that allows other players to join before bots take their place.
I agree that the timeout should be extended a bit, but it is there.

Great idea! They could potentially add an XP incentive for joining in progress matches as well?

It would be the same bonus as “Join Any”. That way devs do not need to code anything complicated to add the feature.

Sometimes, player will disconnect after losing the 1st or 2nd objective mid game. It would be out of the player replacement period and a bot would take their spot in the current iteration of the game. Adding a “Join game in progress” would fix this problem.

This is a good idea that attempts to solve the consequence of the problem, not the cause.
In addition to considering this idea, it would also be advisable to address the root causes of the problem, which could be unbalanced teams and/or unavoidable maps or game modes (among others things)
In this way, cascading deserters would be prevented from occurring, which only worsens the balance situation and condemns those who have the guts to stay playing, to a torturously lost game (knowing that they will most likely lose the game in less than 10 minutes,)
Sounds interesting. Also I’d like if I had an option to reconnect to a game where I was playing before being loosing connection all of sudden. I’ve had games where things are getting exciting, I’m having a nice score, and then I get disconnected… Without any possibility to get back to the match and keep helping them team.

Pressing Alt+F4 instead of pressing the “Ok” button will let you reconnect to the game after this happens.
My suggestion is just a simple solution that would not require much coding to implement.
Imagine crushing your enemies team so badly that they all leave - only to be replaced by the few madmen that dare jump into a lost match!

Joined 2 games like this where the we were defending the 4th point with 800 tickets. Stopped the attackers dead in their tracks both games and won it. So much fun!
