Add camera shake to when shooting weapons

Automatic and high caliber weapon feel like peashooters even though they are powerful, shooting the guns doesn’t feel good.

For example the Lewis gun feel very weak.

Compare this to the Lewis gun in Post Scriptum:

Suggestion:

  • Add rotational camera shake, this will simulate the effect of the recoil of the weapon better, and give the player the feeling of shooting a powerful weapon.

  • Make the center of the weapon aim to be the center of rotation. This is because the center of aim is not always the center of the screen due to the huge weapon sway in Enlisted.

Adding rotational camera shake does not affect the player’s aim. The closer a point is to the center of rotation the less distance it travel. So at the center of rotation which should also be the center of the iron sight, the rotational camera shake will not add any translation to the player’s aim.

This is not specific to the Lewis gun, but to all guns in the game including buildable, and vehicle weapons, imo it will make the guns feel powerful.

I was about to reject any form of visual shake crippling MGs even more than now, but after seeing the Post Scripum clip I found it surprisingly appropriate. It actually gives the feel of the weapon kicking back on the shoulder WITHOUT affecting the aim in a significant way.

+1 from me, feeling of guns is the underrated core pillar of any FPS.

Still, this should NOT be prioritized over working bipod mechanics.

Everything has higher priority than this.

You know, we could limit the ammount of explosions.
Oh wait, Keo said they won’t limit anything.

definitely the least of my concerns in the game, as nice as the Post Scriptum effect is, it’s unnecessary

if had a toggle to turn it off, probably would, since I don’t need my screen shaking anymore than it already does

it’s like those hollywood idiots that thought shaking a camera while filming an entire movie was a good idea, haven’t been able to finish a single movie that does that rubbish

only if optional, i hate everything that mess my visual and can potentially give me a headache

points is how to implement it correctly.
bad implementation can lead a player to nausea
