Nothing’s more frustrating than entering a match where the opposing team already cleared the first, second or even third objective before matchmaking cuts players from joining a match to replace those that have left.
Adding a checkbox to further modify matchmaking rules such that only players who opt in may experience this would positively affect the rate late-joining players desert the moment they end up in what is essentially already a lost match.
For each objective already lost or in the process of being taken by the time the player has spawned their first squad, they should receive a 20% booster, with a hard limit of late joiners being capped at the 5 minute mark since the game started.
This also allows for certain creative matchups wherein a 4-player stack may suddenly populate an otherwise empty match and turn what was a cakewalk for the opposing team into a real fight.
