None of the vehicles for the tech tree “APC Squad” are…APCs. They’re all just trucks or regular half-tracks, but literally none of them could be called an armored personnel carrier.
I get that Gaijin/DF wants to section off some things to save them for events or Premium squads, but this would be akin to there being no real actual tanks available for your tank squad, only SPGs or SPAA.
Well the halftracks are actual APC’s. They are armored. Or at least the M3 Halftrack is. Not sure if the others are smart enough to have done that. That being said, yes the trucks are just trucks. Nothing “armored” about them they’re just regular transport vehicles
Now what I really want is some IFV’s. Gimme some of THAT action right there

Not worrying if it’s premium or not. Just pointing out that halftracks in general are usually armored and used my favorite armored vehicle that I’m still anal about being in the Soviet tree when they had all of what? 2 M3’s specifically? Yeah not upset about that at all!
America should get free M3A1 that is owned by the Soviets in form of Premium. They could make it look like this (faster but a bit less armored)
