Compared to Japanese sights, the US faction’s rear ring sights are noticeably larger, like Bren/Besal/Vickers vs Type96/Type99 LMG, M1917 Enfield/Faquhar-Hill M1918 vs Type 99 rifle. It makes me wonder if that’s the design nature of these guns or both factions have different modeling teams and have their own bias. For me, an example when shooting Faquhar-Hill M1918, this gun is difficult to get used to because its rear ring is very large and the front sight is so tiny that looks like I’m somehow aiming a reflex sight rather than an iron sight, made it uncomfortable to aim and focus properly. Although, someone might find it easier to aim because larger ring sight means a clearer view to see what’s in front of them.
Most of weapon sights are already adjusted from real life, so I believe developers considered these are best for players. The ring sights in Enlisted, I believe are already the thinnest in FPS games.
(Imagine Enlisted claiming itself to be a authentic game, but in reality it’s even more exaggerated than CoD.)
Both I think. Enlisted is highly likely to have arranged many different modeling teams at different times.
The iron sights of M2 carbine, which has been complained about for a long time, vs. M1A1.
