They can loadnig only by clip in real, but they can loading ammo without clip like other rifles
I suggest that 1888&1895’ loading system change like semi-auto rifle, like 1 clip = 1 magazine
They have clip ejecting button, so I think you can change system quite easily

Secondly, the Gewehr 1888 in this game is a Gewehr 1888/05. Which was modified to use stripper clips.
And thirdly, it is true that M95 can only be reloaded using en-bloc clip like the M1 Garand (seriously you can only write semi auto rifle can you) and cant be loaded or top up with single rounds.
So what you are suggesting is that the M95 get a similar reload animation like the M1 Garand
