It would be super handy to be able to lean in aircraft cockpits to be able to see around the head rests/plates. This way pilots can see around the aircraft and specifically behind better.
It would also be handy to sit up a bit to look forward over the nose.
And a working rearview mirror would be very nice too.
Oh! That’s a great idea! A mirror would be fantastic too!
Sadly mirrors in games are hard because the game and graphics card has to render the world twice (once for main game play and again with a reverse facing “camera”) which can be resource heavy.
We use to render a much simpler “world” in the “camera” that rendered in time on, what’s called a “sprite” (basically a rectangular polygonof 2 triangles) , that fit the mirror of the “cockpit/first-person” view. Back then or resources were SUPER limited (PS2 and Xbox original) but the method was very effective. I think a similar thing could be done in the planes too.
Great input!
Hahaha!!! Oh man this got me! HILARIOUS! I love it! I can see crashing myself into the ground getting used to leaning controls, but I think it’ll be worth it to learn how to.
