The devs could add a squad order to the battle pass. This would allow you to pick any pre-merge squad from the campaign progression (aside from the ones in the current tech trees). Or you could choose 10,000 silver if you have all of the pre-merge squads. This would be a good way to add the old british and Italian squads back without making a new tech tree. They could aslo add these orders to the gambling box.

how many pre merge squads are there, that are really so important to add back??
or do you mean the events before the merge with for example paratroopers???
Together with a system for selecting soldier nationality (as was promised, but not yet delivered), new players (and people who did not fully grind out old Enlisted) would finally be able to create full British or Italian line-ups. It is the simplest solution to this problem.
Also, you would finally be able to use the right nationality of vehicle squads for the vehicle your fielding, Italian tankers for Italian tanks God damn it!

Personally, If I were in charge of Gaijin I would reopen the Battle pass store, include “EVERY” weapon that Enlisted has made, as well as adding a new page that I would call “Squads” and ever new and legacy squad would be listed, and add all new premium squads to this page. Hey, if these items are in demand, only a fool wouldn’t offer them for sale. So far it appears that maybe a fool is in charge, but my book is still open.

Not event squads. Pre merge squads. They dont make a huge difference but they are cool to have for people who like history and want to play a full normandy lineup. Also allows people to play brits and italians which is the big reason for adding this.

If you see someone being able to cycle high end vehicles, or for example always seem to have flamethrowers in hand no matter how many times you squad wipe him… then you know.

Drives me crazy that i can only play low br shermans and american planes in british squads. Also want a us mortar squad. also the new meteor jet needs to be added to a british squad.

Nationality choice was a promised feature for soldiers… devs forgot about it…
But the real advantage of more squads are the multiple presets you can make. What if you got 2 buddies, one is br2, the other br5? How can you quickly switch your br preset without multiple squads? Changing all your squads equipment to be the same br as your pal for just one or two match is really time consuming…

me for example have a newphew who deleted (he said he trow it to the trash) so I would love a way to get my italians back, and yes he got punished
