Imo it would be another trash tier item. The only positive thing it has is the coolness factor.
I’ve killed quite a few British vehicles Tanks and the Daimler with them in Tunisia, haven’t really use the boys very much though.
It’s even easier to kill the odd crew member.
You just have to realise that IRL they were basically useless even at the very beginning of the war unless you were in a really good position relative to the armour on the tank.
Unfortunately the AT Rifle takes a lot more precision and skill to use effectively. I was a bit put off of them at first but after someone helped me with it, I become a monster with them.
Sure its not a OHK like other weapons, but its crazy how deadly they are.
In Stalingrad especially, I can drop a PZ4 or StuG with the PTRS no problem.
I agree, but I tend to break my units up and use them for specific tasks.
My assault squad has submachineguns in it.
My machine gun squad has machine guns.
My radio squad has radios.
My engineers squad house engineers.
And I play the daily tasks, so today I needed to get 60 machine-gun kills so I put my two machine-gun squad in my lineup and I just used them…
I don’t really like to mix up my sections because most of the guys just wind up dying anyway.
But I get the most people don’t do it this way
Yeah you have to hit the target a few times to kill them but it’s pretty easy to, and fun, and you don’t really need to be that close to them to be able to do it either, at least not with the Daimler and the A13, Of course they have paperthin armour which helps
Mine slot would be the only place that makes sense. Not the primary AT weapon slot. There would be zero incentive to use this over something with actual range that is far more efficient and effective.
This type of weapon is a weapon of last resort, which means it shouldn’t occupy such an important slot.
I’ve had nothing but fun using them, and once I got the GbR39, its nuts the tanks I took out with that.

AT rifles you track them or kill the engine then detpack
Well they were effective, but that’s because that they were used enmass, with upwards of 3 to 5 at rifles engaging the same target, targeting view ports, and tracks then move onto the next one
Ontop of that at rifles were harder to spot then a at gun
I love how the topic totally derailed talking about AT impact grenades to just a shitting on the AT class convention 2022 altogether, love it.

that entire side, is pretaining to the at rifle being used to destroy tanks, some think that they were never intended to do, they were designed to help destory the tank by disabling it

Well I agree with you, I never use AT Rifles, they are so bad…
The PTRS never lands where I’m aiming. It’s like the bullet dispersion on that thing is on steroids.
One time on Tunsia, I shot the engine square and it took 7 shots to disable the engine. Ever since then I have not touched them
You probably shot at an angle
Maybe a 1 degree angle. I was like 10 feet directly behind him, hit about straight on as possible.
