Meh, at least not here.
Only people who spend enough time in this clownhouse called forum (or read the website), know that stuff. Probably they pretend this promise never existed or we ā€œmisunderstoodā€ it.

I guess yeah

Most people dont realize the problems until they have played the game for a long time, or have played for a long time during the glory days

bomb explosions expand upwards in this game.

here is an oversimplified version (the game is not perfect so it doesnt always work as intended)

i suspect that although the 500kg does more damage, it probably has roughly the same cone as the 250kg’s, which already has enough killing power to one hit anyways. and thats why their AOE feels very similar

note that i have no actual hard proof of this, its just an educated guess from playing the game for a long time

Yeah it makes logical sense since a good chunk of the bomb fragments and the Kinect force from the chemicals go straight into the ground, thus making the crater

As far as I know there is also an ā€œoverpressureā€ so basically generic AOE damage with short range.

I remember keo said this but I may have made it up.

It does depend on the map though, the valley shape of the D-Day map makes bombers very effective at taking out people trying to climb up the sides of the valley.

TBH 12 x 50 kg would be a much better infantry kill due to the mechanics, but they are pretty hard to kill tanks with - you need a direct hit - or something very close to it.

IMO 250kg are probably the optimal size - you often get enough to cover a wide area, and they kill tanks.

But you don’t get a choice on any given a/c - you take what you are given.
