A br3 Churchill tank for the tech

Personally I was a bit disappointed that the Churchill 7 that was just announced is br4, I’m not going to suggest a downtier however because I think it’s too good for br3 with it’s front armour. Most recent update can be found here: Weapons and vehicles of the "Scorching Rays" update

Therefore I suggest a br3 Churchill tank for the tech tree:

Either the Churchill 1:

Has a 76mm gun and a 40mm gun.

Or the Churchill NA75:

Has a 75mm gun, I’m pretty sure it’s on par with the Sherman’s 75mm gun.

Both these vehicles are in war thunder so it’d be really easy to add for the Devs.

Churchill VI is way better option that that overpowered Churchill I (it belongs to BR4). But that would require Gaijin to finally stop being lazy asses and make new model for the game.

Actually, I have some notes on this one if I many:

  • I would choose the Mk II, rather than the the Mk I, as the Mk II is one of the only three Churchill models to ever exceed 1k production (other two are Mk IV and Mk VII). Mk I would be better (and more interesting) as a premium or event vehicle.

  • I’m not so sure about either Mk I or IIs placement in BR III, the Mk III would be (IMO) the superior tank due to the 6-pounder. It would really depend on how much better we think it is over the Lee/Grant, I’m open to discussion on this issue as I don’t hare a firm stance. Can you get away with the Mk II as a BR II tank, is that possible? Great armour, but uses a very weak “BR I gun”…?

I think the Mk IV would be the better option over the NA75, it’s the most common Churchill of the war after all, it’s just a Mk III but with a cast turret (wouldn’t matter much in game, they’d function the same, same gun same armour).

NA75 would be a cool premium though.

I think it is overlooking the fact that they already had a Churchill as a Premium squad and if they add yet another, it is a real knock to the people who paid money. It’s funny, they cut and pasted 2 tanks fro War Thunder for money, then are adding a Churchill for free fleecing those who bought the Premium squad.

Churchill VII should be at tier III. A strong tank but slower, PZ. IV can deal with it but in this game the number one threat for a tank ( real life also) is infantery. Tier IV is unplayable, no one plays it, is all tier V, tanks like 76 shermans, Jumbo and m36 has this problem, every single time they are facing tier V tanks and the are worthless, you best option is grind for M26 as fast as you can. And belive me, the NA75 would be a tier 4 tank too.
