9 tanks killed with Anti-tank mines

i mean it wouldn’t be any different to average normandy gameplay

You can try putting them in a trench that you dig with a shovel. It has few advantages:
-it gives some protection to the AT mine from all of the explosives
-tankers will not see the mine lying in the middle of the road + from my experience they love crossing trenches
-tank that explodes on the mine at the bottom of the trench becomes a great obstacle for the next enemy tanks (its much harder to move and can’t be destroyed in any way.

If you don’t have time to dig the whole trench just dig a little hole (just one move of the shovel is enough) and put the mine in it. It gives the mine some camouflage.

Me not so much.

Mines in this game I deem universal. I have an even dozen demo smoke ones that I could place in my house right now and even money says you trip at least 9/12.

In WW2 it was much the same. Mines or even primed grenades were situated in such a way that disturbance would mean someone was fragged.

So this game takes some artistic liberty in my eyes on how they get deployed. We don’t go through the animation of setting it like what would happen in real life, but the concept is very sound.

Heck, the German army used to booby trap with Mines Luger Pistols, picture frames (though I’m not sur le if that was ever 100% proven) etc in an effort to slow down advances. With great success.

and you did on Moscow Axis? Absolute job well done

I’m usually low on silver orders to ever buy mines.

I think the germans AT mines work best, they blend in better than their counterparts.

the more I experiment with the mines, the more I realize that the tank driver is not paying that much attention too busy looking for enemy tanks to notice my mines placed in the middle of the road.

But in general I guess it’s all about experience, knowing what roads that usually well-trafficked.

I found Birch Grove excellent to pop down a lot of mines because there is just one single main road.

Yeah, agree. Digging holes is a good strategy. If you dig deep they sometimes disappear completely:

And sometimes, partly:

In Stalingrad and Berlin there is so much clutter you dont need to be innovative:

In the narrow streets of Normandy, where there is not that much grass you can lure the driver by hiding them behind barbed wires:

Otherwise, this works excellent as well but the veterans usually know something fishy is going on:

Usually have at least two squads fully equipped with at mines. Only works when our team are defending.
Yeah, I dropped all of them - no suicidal.

And i dont know about you guys. From my experience you do see enemies AP.
Sometimes maybe there are som glitches, but trust they are visable.

And I never destroy the rallies, to much fun to place AP:s and much more effective considering the drop of tickets.

The worst map for tanks. Defensively, you only get a chance to do some damage as a tanker on 4th and 5th objective. Prior to this the map is absolutely nightmare, probably since it is unrealistic and utterly stupid. No one would attack the village positioned in such a location, via that route. Nor will objectives be such pointless locations within it.

That said, on the matter of your mine, still a fantastic job. They must have gone with vehicle heavy squad.

It’s a shit and lazily implemented mechanic exactly because it’s used like you describe- as a uncounterable nearly guaranteed kill on cap point entrances.

I much prefer if you’d actually have to implement a tripwire that can be shot off if spotted.

Easily countered if you suspect it is there. Toss a grenade in.

Mines work exactly how they should. Especially if the other team hasn’t encountered them yet while playing the match. To quote the allies, they are a silent solider.

This is what I see.

Of course they are not cleraly visable considering how dark the interior is, but they are there.
