Agreed, I think the Pacific pack should at least come with squad slots? They could have even done half the stalingrad xp, some squad slots and no lockouts. I dont know why they chose this method of gearing, Seems like a bad risk. We play the battles to improve our gear and troops in the first place. This is odd dev wandering.

They saw the backlash of locking levels behind paywall, which evidently turned off more free players than they expected, so they changed approach this time and tried a “hybrid” economy between Stalingrad and standard campaigns where everything is accessible to everyone, which is a good thing.
Then, since this negates the need for a “full access pack”, they turned that into a “bonus access pack”, and tried to keep the value by replacing unrestricted access with exclusive premium squads. Which is also reasonable, except this time they removed extra squad slots and discounted prices, so while it’s still a good deal, it’s not as good as Stalingrad.
