37mm HE once again

Obviously, this effects Japan the most, but the US suffers the same problem. BRI Soviet, UK, German, tanks all have HE rounds for their tanks. US and Japan, for some reason, don’t. I mean, granted; with HE rounds the M5A1 might actually be good in BRII… I don’t see that as a problem. Just, come on; add 'em, already.

I though the stuarts already got HE though, but I do agree with japan getting 37mm HE

Anything under 75mm is just garbage no matter what

I mean, there are layers of garbage.

it was He but they swapped it to SAP so it can get some use out of it, now the US 37 should get canister shot

So, honest question; what use IS SAPHEI? IRL it would be used against equipment, light vehicles and fortifications. As far as I can tell; SAPHEI is pretty much useless in the context of this game.

While I would consider canister shot an upgrade over the (AFAICT) useless SAPHEI; I disagree with the assessment that 37mm HE is “useless” It has enough radius to kill with a near miss, and has a (relatively) high rate of fire. If the tanks with 37/40mm HE weren’t so weak up-tiered then I would probably use them more often.

I am a firm believer that “not as good as the alternative” does not mean “useless”.

it’s not even sap irl, it was just HE but because of how little filler it had (less than a frag grenade) they had to turn it into sap so people can at least find a use for it
