1944, Helicopters

In 1944 the first helicopter flown in combat was the (United States) Sikorsky R-4B Hoverfly

I just wanted to keep this short until I get back tomorrow with proper reasoning as to why this should be added, to Historical accuracy

I with humble respect believe that a faction only thing would be terrible, Heli’s don’t belong in enlisted as of the moment, If we get what people wish for a post WW2 era, Then perhaps.

I don’t believe they belong in Enlisted, but I do believe they would make for a wonderful April Fools Vietnam themed event.

I don’t think so, helicopters isn’t a good idea, but, if it was, the best way to implement it would be to have a 1% chance of appearing on the maps

I love helicopters…but not in WW 2

If the game expands to modern day warfare at some point (and NOT mixing with WW2), be sure I will be all over the Attack Choppers

Historical accuracy is completely out the window already so sure why not, add them!!

Wasn’t there a German heli as well? But that one is for spotting submarine I’m pretty sure

So I assume if heli become a thing it can go into grey zone to kill tank? If so then cool (and yes plane can already do that but heli might be easier and much more vulnerable)

Were helicopters used in active combat or were they just used for training?

it wouldn’t be hard to implement them, since, the other game that is foundamentally enlisted battle royale, does have helicopters:

but like… do we really need them?

i’d argue, perhaps for mods.

not in the base game. would be both weird, and not sure how practical.

Iirc those were unarmed recon-helis for the most part, so I do not see the point of their existence here.

More fluff. All I see here, and not in a good way either. Though there might be a place for them in the possible future. As it seems we aren’t taking historical accuracy that seriously anymore. Might as well throw that centurion in! I need a real tank!

As a transport for 3 men, pilot, co-pilot, clubber not gunner as it would have to be unarmed and would have almost no carrying capacity
